16 Personalities Test
The personality type I got was advocate. It also is called INFJ-T. The website says that I possess a unique combination of idealism and insight that sets me apart in today’s world. My rich inner life is characterized by complex emotions, vivid imagination, and a deep well of empathy that allows me to connect with others on a profound level. I have an unwavering commitment to my principles and an intense desire to make a positive impact on the world around me.
My natural ability to understand and interpret the feelings and motivations of others is both a gift and a challenge. While it enables me to form deep, meaningful connections and offer invaluable support to those around me, it also can leave me feeling overwhelmed by the emotions and needs of others. I often find myself torn between my desire to help and my need for privacy and solitude.
How to get inspiration in your photography when you’re stuck
- Draw up a plan for your success- No matter the goal, it’s easier to achieve when you have an actionable plan to help you get there.
- Look up work from your favorite photographer- when a particular image grabs you, take a moment and ask yourself: What is it about the photograph that’s so appealing?
- Work on personal projects- See this project as a way for you to fall back in love with photography without any pressure or expectations.
- Do something creative- Photographic inspiration can be found in a variety of ways – and sometimes, the best inspiration comes from non-photographic activities
- Try a different photography genre- try something new, and see if you can’t reignite that passion
Silhouette Story
Conceptual Self Portrait
The word conceptual means relating to or based on mental concepts. This relates to the photograph because the photograph represents me and who I am. I like to capture the little moments in life because each picture has a story. I usually like to take pictures of what I am up to during my day or just taking pictures of loved ones. Everyone that I know knows that I love using my camera, specifically, I like to record videos. Recording videos is something I have always enjoyed doing because I love capturing my life and since it all goes by so fast, it helps me keep good memories of certain moments in my life.
I am usually the one in my family and my friend group to have the camera. I am usually the one behind the camera and I don’t really mind it because I enjoy being in the presence of people I love. I love being able to tell my life through pictures and videos because these types of things can tell more than words can. Anyone can relate more to what they see rather than what you say. That’s part of the reason why I love my camera. My camera holds memories of not just my life, but everyone around me.
Ted Talk: How Photography Connects Us
Photography connects us by capturing shared human experiences and preserving moments that others can understand, even if they weren’t there. A single image can communicate emotions, stories, and perspectives across cultures and languages without needing words. For example, photos of celebrations or everyday life allow people to relate to one another on a deeper level. When someone views a photograph, they often see a reflection of their own experiences or gain insight into someone else’s, which builds empathy and understanding.
It also connects us across time. Photographs act as a bridge between the past and present, allowing us to see how people lived, what they valued, and how the world has changed. Family photos, historical images, and even pictures shared online help create a sense of continuity and belonging. By sharing photos, whether in albums or on social media, people stay connected with friends, family, and even strangers around the world, forming communities based on shared interests, memories, and experiences.

Movie Poster
My movie title will be “Inside the Mind” and it would reflect about my life. I usually keep to myself and keep my thoughts inside my head, which is why the movie has this title. It would consist of adventures I would have with my friends and how I navigate through the obstacles life throws my way. I think the movie would be kept PG because I wouldn’t want my life movie to be vulgar. The reason the movie poster is of me covering the bottom half of my face with a book is because I wanted my head to be the main focus since the title is about my mind. Also, since I keep to myself and don’t talk to a bunch of people, my mouth is covered to symbolize that. Also I wanted to cover it with a book because I enjoy reading, and the book in the poster is a book I’ve been wanting to read. It is also my favorite color so that is part of the reason of why I chose it.
- This poster catches my eye because the suit really stands out.
- This one stands out to me because the people dancing are interesting to look at.
Letter to Next Years Photo Students
Dear future photo students,
This years photography class was really fun. We had a lot of fun assignments to do this year. For example, there was an assignment where we had to draw make up on someone. I loved the creativity that we were able to have on this assignment and I had fun doing it. We also had this assignment where we had to take pictures of someone using flash. I loved this assignment because I liked how the pictures turned out. I also learned that flash photography is my favorite type of photography so that was a really fun assignment to do. The assignments we had in this class weren’t hard to do, the only hard part was learning how to use the camera.
One thing I will say is that there were times when it was hard to get assignments done. Sometimes when assignments needed the studio it would take longer to get assignments done because people would take a long time in the studio. Most of the time people do get out after a good amount of time but there were moments when people would take awhile. It is understandable because we all obviously want to get good photos, so you’re gonna have to learn to wait a bit. Also sometimes I did feel rushed to get assignments done because if I were to miss one day of class, I would have less time to get all of the assignments for the week done. Usually, Ms. Cauchon extends the time for assignments but that doesn’t mean you should rely on that all the time. There aren’t a lot of negative things about the class, so that’s part of the reason I really recommend it.
Overall, I really enjoyed the class because of the creative freedom I had. Also, Ms. Cauchon was very helpful throughout the entire school year. I think that she gave advice to everyone in the class on how to improve their photography, and I appreciate that very much because I have more confidence in my work. She’s also really nice and approachable, so I’m never scared to ask for advice. I think that you will really enjoy the class because the environment is very special and is open to everyone.
Sincerely,
a former photo student
